Our Story
Minnesota Vision Therapy Center started in 1995 when we envisioned (pun intended) a place where clinical expertise could blend with compassionate care to produce life-changing results for people facing functional vision problems.
Today, we’re one of the most in-demand clinics in the country and are a national leader in both diagnosis and treatment.

Meet the Doctor
Dr. Inna Timshina, OD
Developmental Optometrist
Dr. T is a licensed Doctor of Optometry with residency training in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation. She has been practicing optometry since 2015 and is a recent addition to MVTC.
Dr. T became an eye doctor because she had her own vision problems and is excited to help others tune up their visual systems.
She also loves dark chocolate, tea (lots of tea), gardening, and making mixed-media art.”

Mindy, COVT
Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT), Vision Therapy Manager
Mindy is a Board Certified Vision Therapist and kiddo expert all rolled into one. She has a degree in child psychology and previously worked in a special education setting. Mindy has been working with kids for more than 25+ years, including more than 18 years at MVTC. The kids love her, and so do we.
Barry, COVT
Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT)
Barry is a Board Certified Vision Therapist and has been with MVTC for over two decades. That translates to thousands of patients served, ranging from age 3 to 83. His incredible level of experience is matched only by his commitment to compassionate care and results. (He’s also an IT guru, which comes in awfully handy!)
Kara, COVT
Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT)
Kara is a Board Certified Optometric Vision Therapist. She developed a passion for vision therapy after watching a family member blossom through vision therapy as a child. She values the bond she creates with each patient and enjoys seeing kids reach their full potential.
Courtney, OVT
Optometric Vision Therapist
Courtney is a Optometric Vision Therapist. She has a passion for working with kids and helping them succeed. She has a background in education working primarily in special education. She is known for her bubbly personality and has a knack for putting a smile on your face.
Ann, COVT
Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT)
Ann is a Board Certified Vision Therapist. She is the OG vision therapist at MVTC, working with us for over 20 years. She has a background in education, working in the school system for 10+ years before becoming a vision therapist.

Business Administrator
With more than 30 years of experience (and a degree) in business management, no one is more qualified than Christine to make sure everything in our office runs smoothly. She’s always three steps ahead, making sure our vision (ha!) comes to life for the families we serve.
Kristin
Executive Assistant & Scheduling Manager
Kristin may work behind the scenes at MVTC, but her hard work has a front-and-center impact on our operations. She has been with us for more than 20 years, starting as a receptionist and taking on increasing responsibility. Kristin also has a degree in business administration.
Karen
Accounting & Billing
For more than 19 years, Karen has handled everything related to accounting and billing at MVTC. She’s amazing at her job—and we promise we’re not just saying that to get on her good side because she’s also a very talented kickboxer.
